Achieve a Lush Lawn: Our Steps for Sod Success
Step 1
We’ll spray the entire area with an herbicide to kill the balance of grass left, but more importantly, all the weeds, because in most cases when sod replacement is needed weeds have taken over the area.
Step 2
We’ll return to your property in 10-14 days and remove all old, unwanted grass and weeds and haul them away. Then we rake and level to prepare for new turf.
Step 3
We bring in the chosen sod for your property and install. Sod should be watered immediately after installation and every day for the next 30 days. After that, water twice/week as the sod takes root. The hotter the weather the more you’ll need to water. The best time of day to water in Central Florida is between midnight and 4am. A properly installed irrigation system ensures efficient watering with minimal effort.
Choosing the right type of sod along with careful installation are the keys to laying a beautiful lawn, but the work doesn’t stop here. Regular lawn maintenance will keep your new sod looking green and lush all year long.
